AI Use Statement
I’m an old fashioned photographer but not a luddite. I am convinced that a photograph is a record of a moment in time - presented artfully. That said, I do avail myself of certain tools in post-processing. Dodging, burning and spotting. Color and tonal adjustment. Cropping and framing. I do all of these things and, increasingly, the tools that allow me to do them are powered by AI. I think that’s ok.

Although I do, on rare occasions, use a subtractive AI editing tool to remove a distracting minor element in a landscape photo (not street), I do not use anything additive, which goes against my basic idea of what a photo is.

I understand that everyone has different ideas and rules regarding their creative process and I don’t intend this statement to be prescriptive. .
